Dont get lost... cos we'll find you !!!

The Strathalbyn Mounted Landesearch Team is part of the Strathalbyn SES unit, located in Murray Street, Strathalbyn.

The Strathalbyn SES covers the Alexandrina Council area of the South Australian Fleurieu Peninsula. We are responsible for all Emergency services in this area. The State Emergency Service (SES) is a volunteer emergency service organisation to render immediate assistance during emergencies and disasters, to provide community response to 'day to day' incidents such as vehicle accidents, searches, cliff rescues, flood and storm damage situations and any other incidents that might require rescue or search services.
The SES also cooperates closely with other statutory emergency services. SES has storm and flood relief as responsibilities in State legislation.
The SES is part of a national network of similar services in each State and Territory around Australia. More than 2,000 SES Volunteers are members of 67 Units across South Australia.

The Mounted Landsearch Team has completed their landsearch training and is now under operation from 2009. The SES currently has mounted landsearch teams based at Wudinna & Kapunda. Due to being the southern most mounted landsearch team, the Strathalbyn Unit may also be called upon for services anywhere in the South East of South Australia.

The Landsearch Team is looking for more members, so if you are interested please give us a call, or visit us at 51 Murray St, Strathalbyn on Wednesday evenings.

There is lots happening at the Strathalbyn SES, please view our "news" page which is updated regularly.
